FREE is a typology of objects I found & acquired exclusively from the 'free' section of craigslist.org.

The photographs are a statement about the culture of the Internet and the absurdity of people when they are provided a free, anonymous, and self-moderated forum. The photographs lend a sense of permanence to both the objects, which have been reduced to no worth, as well as the postings, which exist online only temporarily. The stark aesthetic is a reflection of the anti-design of craigslist and its principles.

I want these images to encourage a curiosity about the objects and make the viewer speculate as to their origins, their previous use, and the motives of the people attempting to redistribute them.
